TRAUMA FOCUSED COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
TF-CBT

DO YOU HAVE A CHILD THAT HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO TRAUMA AND IS EXPERIENCING LIFE CHANGES OR DISRUPTIONS DUE TO TRAUMA?

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or TF-CBT is a therapeutic technique that addresses trauma related behaviors displayed by children and adolescents between the ages of 3-18.  TF-CBT is the process of collaborating between child/adolescent and parent/guardian, using a psychotherapy approach addressing behaviors and emotional stress in relation to trauma exposure. Creating a narrative, psychoeducation, coping strategies, gradual exposure, safety, and collaboration with parent/guardians are all components of TF-CBT which focuses on the trauma that occurred, stabilization, and processing.
